Basic Search Tips
"Clinical Trials On-LineSM"
searches all clinical trial titles and summaries for exact matches with your word or phrase of interest (can be upper or lower case).
If you're searching for a specific phrase or if you remember a particular phrase in a clinical trial summary, you can try searching for that phrase. Examples include:
-
white blood cells
-
side effects
-
phase III trial
-
lymph node
If you're looking for a general subject area of interest, try using a single keyword for more successful searching. Examples include:
-
tamoxifen
-
melanoma
-
malignancy
If your keyword search does not return a result, try your search again using a similar or related keyword.
If your keyword is found in the description of clinical trials for multiple disease categories, your search may return unanticipated results that seem unrelated to your subject of interest. For example, the word
liver
may appear in a clinical trial for
colon cancer, or the word
skin
may appear in a clinical trial for
liver cancer.
If you still can't find the keyword or phrase of interest, please
